About Us
"Us" is just me at the moment, but everything has to start somewhere, with an idea. I'm Koda, and I
refer to myself as an "idea artist." (You can check out my personal website,
www.kodasplace.com, if you want to know
more about me and my other work.) The Dreamers organization has been an idea in my head since I
first discovered the Internet in about 1995, when I realized it could become a worldwide platform for
promoting solutions to socioeconomic problems I have been working on all my life. Such
an opportunity has never existed before. It was 2007 before I finally got around to doing
something, but better late than never.
I am hoping "us" will soon include others who believe in the cause and are willing to put a little
bit of effort into helping out. I am particularly interested in getting other artists involved;
musicians, writers, video producers, etc. If we can gain a general understanding of what we want to
communicate we can coordinate our efforts to get our message across though music, movies and
television. Music was THE communication medium of the 60s underground, which almost succeeded in
fixing the world, though no one can deny that films and books also played a big roll. I'd like to
see the artistic community become the driving force behind the changes the Dreamers want to
implement. If you have real creative skills, we should talk.
I could also use the help of some web developers, designers, flash content creators, 3-animators,
etc., anyone who can help make this site as awesome as any website can be.
And of course, donations would be helpful. The more time I have to spend chasing down money to
survive the less time I can invest in this project. I need to explain the reasoning behind the
proposed solutions, which takes a lot of time, and it would be nice if there was some money to pay
others for their time invested here. Right now this whole thing is nothing but an idea, an obscure
website lost among the hundreds of millions of
other websites out there. If it stays that way, so be it. I will still work on it when I can,
because I feel an obligation to the world to contribute what I can to make it a better place. You
can't be a decent human being without sensing that obligation, but that doesn't mean you have to
support this particular project. We all do what we can in our own way and in our own time.
Supporting this project is an opportunity, perhaps a wasted one if it fails to take off, but it is
not an obligation to anyone, including me. I'll be doing what makes me happy, and you should do the
same.
Donations can be sent to koda@kodasplace.com via PayPal. If you would
like to help in other ways I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Thank you, so much, for even looking at this site :)
